MY STORY

Hello, and welcome! My journey into design started at home, inspired by my mom, who studied interior design and had her own kitchen and bath studio. Watching her transform spaces into something beautiful and functional sparked my own passion for creating environments that make people feel at home. I quickly realized that design has the power to shape lives and bring people together, and that’s what truly excites me about this field.

My family is everything to me. I truly do not know what I would do without my mom, dad, and little brother. Family is at the heart of my work—it’s my biggest inspiration and what drives my design philosophy. To me, a well-designed space is more than just visually appealing; it’s a foundation where families can come together, grow, and create memories. I love the idea of designing rooms where people feel a sense of belonging and comfort, spaces that support their daily lives and reflect who they are. My goal is to create environments that embody warmth, harmony, and functionality, allowing families to thrive and connect.

While I’m passionate about a wide range of design styles, I’m particularly drawn to historic architecture, especially French architecture from the Rococo and Late Baroque era. There’s something magical about spaces with a story to tell, rich with character and history. In the future, I hope to work in historic restoration or preservation, breathing new life into spaces with pasts that deserve to be celebrated. I believe that preserving history through design is a way to honor the artistry of the past while making it relevant and functional for today.

At Baylor University, I’ve had the chance to develop my skills across a variety of areas, including space planning, design development, and industry-standard software like AutoCAD and SketchUp. I’ve also learned the art of hand drafting, which has deepened my appreciation for the craftsmanship that goes into each project. Alongside technical skills, I’ve discovered the importance of organization and time management—qualities I rely on every day, and my planner has become my constant companion!

In the summer of 2025, I had the incredible opportunity to intern with two interior design firms simultaneously—House of Amelia and Linda Fritschy Interior Design. This experience was truly formative, giving me hands-on exposure to every facet of the design process. I collaborated on client meetings, assisted with drafting and design development, and learned the ins and outs of business operations within the industry. Working with two distinct firms broadened my perspective, strengthened my technical and interpersonal skills, and confirmed my passion for building meaningful client relationships while balancing creativity with practicality.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and my design journey. I’m excited to share my portfolio with you and hope my work conveys the warmth and intentionality that I strive to bring to every project.
